About Heidi
Heidi qualified as a Psychosexual & Psychodynamic Couple Psychotherapist from the internationally renowned Tavistock Relationships in London, a charitable organisation and world-renowned centre of excellence for research and training in intimate relationships.
Heidi understands how daunting it can feel to be even considering getting outside help, especially for such an essential and intensely private part of your life. Maybe you are at a crisis point, feel stuck, or are trying to work out whether to separate. You might be unhappy with your sexual relationship. Heidi, therefore, offers a professional, sensitive, and confidential service, where you can feel confident that she appreciates how difficult it can be to talk about relationship issues. Heidi provides expert insight into helping you understand what is going on and how to make things better.
Together with her private practice, Heidi is also a Senior Clinician at Tavistock Relationships and has lectured on the same MA course from which she qualified. As the organisation is widely recognised as the gold standard for relationship psychotherapy, this means that Heidi has specialist clinical skills in counselling couples and individuals with relationship or sexual difficulties.
Heidi left a successful career in business and media education to dedicate herself to helping people find happiness in their personal and intimate relationships. Many aspects of life can pose significant challenges to our ability to form and maintain a loving, emotionally fulfilling connection: redundancy, ill-health, infidelity, having children, “empty nest” syndrome, retirement, bereavement – all these can sometimes undermine commitment and trust. Heidi, therefore, offers a warm, supportive and non-judgemental environment in which to think together about your relationship and work towards improving it.
Heidi is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (RegCOSRT).
